Belfast TradFest, the pinnacle of world-class traditional music concerts, fiery pub sessions & Ireland’s fastest growing summer school of traditional music, is set to celebrate its 7th edition across Belfast UNESCO City of Music on Sunday 27th July – Sunday 3rd August 2025.
“TradFest — a festival that has put traditional music on the map in Belfast and made the city’s bid to host Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in 2026 credible and unstoppable.”
“Really wonderful...It felt like joining one large family. Brilliant date-for-the diary annual week.”
“What a uniter music and culture is when it is done thoughtfully, which it certainly was done by the TradFest team.”
Belfast TradFest acknowledges and celebrates the cultural diversity of the different traditions here in NI and is extremely proud of its work, bringing people together, in a shared celebration of traditional music from these islands. Featuring a week long programme of workshops and a full programme of concerts, talks, lectures, sessions, céilís & festival clubs.
“In Belfast, music was everywhere...we opened our hearts to the most welcoming, warm and true musical experience I have had in a long time.”
