Belfast Schools' Traditional Music Performance
Belfast Schools' Traditional Music Performance
Friday 14 March | 10:30am -12:30pm
Venue: 2 Royal Avenue
Free Entry
In conjunction with Glengormley School of Traditional Music
This event is a wonderful opportunity for traditional music groups and ensembles from primary schools in the greater Belfast area, to perform live and on stage at 2 Royal Avenue, the new arts facility in Belfast City Centre. The aim of this event is a simple one, to promote, encourage and support the teaching of traditional music in primary schools throughout Belfast.
Groups will be given a maximum of 15 minutes to perform.
Singing is welcome, either as part of the traditional group or as a separate ballad group as long as the songs are of the traditional/folk Irish or Scottish genre.
There is no minimum or maximum limit to the numbers in a group. Every school will be welcome even if only one or two pupils participate. We want to make the event as inclusive as possible.
To register, email Ray Morgan at gsotm.co.uk@gmail.com please include the name of your school and a contact person.
