Pioneering her own brand of ‘cosmic’ folk, Ulster singer-songwriter and biologist Bróna McVittie blends traditional ballads with nature-inspired songwriting, weaving folklore, mythology, and the natural world into her music. With three critically acclaimed albums and a fourth in progress, her work has earned praise from MOJO, Uncut, The Guardian, and The Independent.
Her debut solo album We Are the Wildlife (2018) featured in Lauren Laverne’s best-of-2018 list, while The Man in the Mountain (2020) was The Guardian’s Folk Album of the Month. She has performed at WOMAD, London’s Kings Place, and Dublin’s National Concert Hall. Her latest album, The Woman in the Moon (2022), saw a sold-out UK and Ireland tour.
